Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Block Blaster ("we," "us," or "our") is a mobile puzzle game developed and operated by Muhammad Zishan. This Privacy Policy applies to the Block Blaster mobile application available on Google Play and the Apple App Store, as well as the website at blockblastergame.com.

By downloading, installing, or using Block Blaster, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use our app.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account information — If you create an account: email address, display name, and password (stored as a secure hash).
• Communications — If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and message content.

Information Collected Automatically

• Guest ID — A randomly generated anonymous identifier stored on your device to enable guest gameplay. It is not linked to any personal identity.
• Game data — Scores, match history, leaderboard rankings, and gameplay statistics.
• Device information — Device type, operating system version, and app version, used for technical support and crash reporting.
• IP address — Collected by our servers when you connect. Used for security, fraud prevention, and regional service delivery. Not stored long-term.
• Advertising identifiers — Google Advertising ID (Android) or Apple IDFA (iOS), collected by Google AdMob for ad personalization. See Section 5.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Location data (GPS or precise location)
• Contacts or address book
• Camera or microphone
• Biometric data
• Financial or payment information

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Block Blaster game
• Enable real-time multiplayer matches and leaderboards
• Authenticate users and secure accounts
• Send account-related communications (e.g. email verification, password reset)
• Display advertisements through Google AdMob
• Detect, investigate, and prevent cheating, fraud, and abuse
• Analyze aggregate usage trends to improve gameplay and performance
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Third-Party Services

Block Blaster integrates with the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy.

Google AdMob

Used to display in-app advertisements. AdMob may collect advertising identifiers and usage data. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Google Play Services

Used on Android for app delivery and in-app updates. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Apple App Store

Used on iOS for app delivery. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

Expo (React Native)

The app is built with Expo/React Native. Expo does not collect personal data independently. See Expo's Privacy Policy.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Block Blaster uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may use your advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS) and other signals to show you personalized ads.

Personalized advertising means ads are selected based on your interests and prior app usage. You can opt out of personalized ads at any time:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
• iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking → disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"

Even if you opt out of personalized ads, you will still see non-personalized ads in the app. Ad revenue helps us keep Block Blaster free.

6. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers — Trusted third parties who assist in operating our service (e.g. hosting, analytics), bound by confidentiality agreements.
• Legal compliance — If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Block Blaster, its users, or the public.
• Business transfer — In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as a business asset. You will be notified in advance.
• Aggregated data — We may share anonymized, aggregated statistics (e.g. "X million games played") that cannot identify any individual.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes (e.g. fraud prevention records).

Game statistics and leaderboard scores may be retained in anonymized form after account deletion.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Bcrypt hashing for stored passwords
• JWT token-based authentication with expiry
• Server-side input validation and rate limiting

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

Block Blaster is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete the information promptly.

If you are between 13 and 18, please review this policy with a parent or guardian before using the app.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion — Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
• Portability — Request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection — Object to processing of your data for direct marketing.
• Restriction — Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. For material changes, we will provide notice within the app.

Your continued use of Block Blaster after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
